Google is responsible for over 85% of the user searches around the world, every day. This is why we almost only talk about Google and checking your website’s rankings or keyword positions. Bing, Yahoo, Yandex, DuckDuckGo still have a small market share, especially when they’re embedded onto devices or operating systems, but most people ‘Google’ stuff, they don’t Bing stuff, that much anyway.
So, as Track-R Google rank tracker geeks have been working in and amongst Google since 2009, we have got to learn a few (thousand) things about one of the biggest digital companies in the world, certainly the most recognized company. Their algorithms are based on user search relevance, site relevance, site trust, search queries and popularity of those searches and the sites that are clicked on.
All of these things can be manipulated, to a point, so that YOUR website (one of billions) can be seen by your prospective customers. This post is going to look at all of the points you should be taking care of on your website.
We state in our mammoth on-page SEO optimization post here, that there are certain ‘rules’ to stick to when setting up a website, adding new pages or revamping your site’s relevance. Having your target keywords, let’s use Track-R as the example here, in your page title, alt-tags, meta title, meta description, meta tags (yes, really, they are still used and we have proof to show), content, the density and LSI keywords within that page…….OK OK, did you stop reading? Is it too much? Well, if you’re serious about your website and gaining more customers then you should take it seriously! That’s you told!
There are so many ‘gurus’ out there that tell you xyz of on-page SEO, but in reality, you can play with the ‘rules’ a little as long as the premise of each factor is there.
We want to rank for Google Rank Tracker, so:

This is the head section of our website. It shows that we hit many points of what Google wants……And this is just the homepage, and only the <head> section. There is the body content and more to think about.
So, use view-source:yourdomain.com in your browser. See if you can see any comparisons between your head and our head sections. If not, you need to look into your on-page optimization or we can help, just buzz us for our SEO consultancy.
Once your site is optimized, then it’s link-building. And that opens a minefield of ‘guru’ talk. The best advice we have given to clients is to NOT read how to do link-building on the internet. The only way is testing or using a reputable company that consistently gets results for months and years. Guess what? We do that too.
